History
Started as Diamond Chemical in 1930, we have grown organically and have also acquired various product lines and businesses. Now operating as DiamondChem, we are supported by four manufacturing locations across the United States. These four locations let us offer hundreds of branded products and even more custom, private-label products for commercial and institutional use for our customers nation-wide. Our locations also let us offer convenient shipping reducing freight times and costs.
Harahan, Louisiana (Wechem.com)
1930 – The company began as a manufacturer of Sodium Hypochlorite (liquid bleach), which was sold to consumers door to door – and later to laundromats and commercial laundries.
As we grew, we began manufacturing products for laundry and dry cleaning, as well as specialty chemicals. As industry in the United States expanded after World War II, DiamondChem grew to meet the need. Soon we were serving businesses of all kinds, expanding our product offerings into warewash, floor care, housekeeping, organic intermediates, industrial and consumer products.
Corporate Responsibility
DiamondChem plays a responsible role in our community and the world. We recognize the importance of environmental stewardship in both our products, and our manufacturing processes. We offer a variety of cleaners and detergents that meet the U.S. EPA Safer Products Standards.
Our headquarters in East Rutherford, New Jersey are also partially powered by our own eight-acre, 1,5-megawatt solar farm adjacent to our property.
